TrapezioOoOooOh

Trapezio
Malbec - Cabernet - Merlot blend 2009
Mendoza, Argentina

Tasted at: Champion Wine Cellars, Seattle, WA
Price: $18.95/bottle

Smelled like: Tomatoes
Tasted like: This was a nice medium red. It was dry and spicy but still had some body to it.

They say: Bright full ruby.  Reduced aromas of dark berries and chocolate.  Sweet and supple in the mouth but still a bit blocked by reduction, with plum, cassis and licorice flavors turning a bit medicinal, even clenched, on the back end.  The substantial tannins are nicely ripe, but a slight tart edge suggests that this wine will require a few years of cellaring.

Bottom line: Not memorable.
